Capstone Design

An integrative studio where students translate food science, process engineering, quality assurance, and business feasibility into a tested product or system design.

Capstone Design is an integrated final project that requires students to develop a fashion collection or textile craft product from concept to presentation. This project represents the pinnacle of the entire academic journey and serves as the primary portfolio for entering the professional world.

Capstone Phases

01

Research & Concept Development

In-depth research on themes, materials, and craft techniques. Design concept development through moodboards, initial sketches, and reference studies.

Design Exploration

Design exploration through material experimentation, surface design techniques, and pattern development. Initial sample/prototype creation and design iteration based on faculty feedback.

Production & Construction

Final work production including garment/craft product construction, detail finishing, quality control, and presentation preparation. Intensive guidance by supervising faculty.

Exhibition & Jury Review

Work presentation before a jury panel consisting of academics and industry practitioners. Public exhibition 'Kriyasa' as a graduation portfolio showcase.
